There is something about Andie and Tony’s love that makes your heartbeat quicken. It is wild and raw and pervades every kiss, touch, and stolen glance. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, windswept day, or a more perfect couple with whom to share the mountaintop sunset than this adventurous pair. The romantic and scenic Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park provided the perfect sun-kissed backdrop for their dreamy engagement session.
We began the session with a romantic bohemian picnic: layered pink vintage and white shag rugs from Honeydew Vintage Rentals, wooden candlesticks, some fresh flowers, and, of course, their favorite bottle of wine from Adelsheim Vineyards. After toasting to their love and savoring the sweet yet tangy Vintage 35 Pinot Noir, the two fearlessly explored the mountain range, dancing dangerously close to the cliff’s edge, letting the wind whip at their hair and clothes, and bathing in the crisp mountain air and soft golden light. The lush floral prints of Andie’s first two gowns perfectly accented the landscape’s rich blues and greens, and her final red dress provided a striking contrast with the natural palette painted by the sunset.
