There is nothing quite like a fall Stone Tower Winery wedding. The first hints of autumn color paired with soft, golden late-October light create the most beautiful backdrop for a Virginia wedding day.
For Melanie and Danny’s October wedding at Stone Tower Winery, the timing could not have been more perfect. The couple exchanged vows by the pond beneath a chuppah covered in lush greenery and florals. As the sun began to set, the evening light reflected across the water and bathed the ceremony space in a soft, golden glow. This was my first time photographing a pond ceremony at Stone Tower, and it was such a special way to experience this tucked-away part of the property.
Signature Bites And A Packed Dance Floor
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a fun cocktail hour featuring seasonal hors d’oeuvres and picturesque mountain views. Instead of signature drinks, the couple chose signature appetizers: a lobster roll for Melanie and a Detroit coney dog for Danny. Meanwhile, their reception design featured a palette of cream, champagne, and gold, accented with plenty of greenery and subtle pops of fall and wine-inspired tones. After a ceremony filled with so much love and emotion, the evening unfolded with heartfelt toasts, lots of laughter, and a packed dance floor.
Melanie and Danny’s fall Stone Tower Winery wedding was the perfect combination of golden light, seasonal color, and sweeping mountain views. Their celebration was a beautiful reminder of why this time of year is one of my favorites for Virginia weddings.
