Rachel and Justin’s Lincoln Memorial engagement session in Washington, DC was such a joy to photograph, especially with their brand-new puppy, Jamo, in tow — an adorable surprise that made the morning feel even more special. There’s something timeless about early morning Lincoln Memorial engagement sessions, when the city is still quiet and the soft, golden light spills across the steps and settles over the Reflecting Pool. We began their photos in front of the memorial before making our way up the steps for a few iconic images beneath the columns, with Jamo happily stealing a few moments of attention along the way. It was one of those sessions where everything aligned perfectly — the light, the location, and this sweet new chapter they’re stepping into together.
